What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Scan and digitize medical documents for integration into the Epic EHR
- Accurately upload and file scanned documents to the correct patient records
- Conduct regular reviews to verify accuracy and completeness of uploaded records
- Work closely with other HIM staff to resolve discrepancies and locate missing records
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure data security and patient confidentiality
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- High level of accuracy in document management tasks
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate degree or certification in Health Information Management (HIM)
- Experience with Epic or other EHR systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
