Job summary

Dyersburg State Community College is seeking Health Information Management adjunct instructors to teach day, evening, and online classes at Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, and other off-campus centers. Initial assignment may shift location; instructors will use the eLearn system for all courses and participate in required meetings and grading deadlines.

The position reports to the Chair of Business & Technology and the Dean of Arts, Sciences, & Technologies, with responsibilities spanning course

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Health Information Management required.
• Bachelor’s degree with previous teaching experience or graduate work required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and other college personnel required.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Health Information Management courses at Covington, Dyersburg, and Paris.
• Prepare course materials; evaluate student learning; maintain class records; and submit required reports on time.
• Attend required meetings, report attendance, early alert, and final grades before deadlines; communicate curriculum and personnel needs to the chair/dean.
