Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Records Manager to oversee electronic and paper client records and the medical records department. You will ensure retention compliance across state, federal, accrediting, and funder requirements, and lead training in health information systems for contractors and student licensed practitioners.

You will protect client PHI, generate EHR reports, and assist with audits, contributing to high standards of privacy and accuracy in a large behavioral

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health information management or related field preferred; RHIA or HA credentials.
• Minimum of two years' experience in behavioral health, quality improvement, or health information field preferred.
• Experience in auditing, compliance, surveying, credentialing, and HIPAA regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee electronic and paper client records and the medical records department.
• Ensure retention compliance with state, federal, accrediting, and funder requirements; educate/train staff on health information plans.
• Lead training in myAvatar for contractors and student licensed practitioners.
• Protect and ensure privacy of client PHI.
• Generate and analyze electronic health record reports; assist with internal and external audits.
