Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Home--Warrensburg is seeking a Health Information Clerk to organize and manage medical records, ensure patient privacy, and support reporting from electronic medical records. You will work with the Health Information team to guard privacy and efficiently handle data from the EMR system.

Primary responsibilities include data collection for statistical reports, processing requests for clinical information with strict confidentiality, and maintaining, auditing, and archiving

Qualifications

• 0 – 1 years of experience in general office, clerical work, and or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting data for statistical reports to be used by the Home and governmental agencies
• Assist with the flow of clinical information to and from all departments in the Home
• Assist with retrieval of information and preparation of reports
• Respond to requests for clinical information, ensuring the highest level of confidentiality is maintained
• Initiate, maintain, audit, archive, and destruct medical records
• Assist with data entry into and maintenance of the electronic medical records
• Assist with oversight and coordination of health care professional visits

Salary: $34,999.68
