Job description

  • Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health compliance requirements, Code of Conduct, policies, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements
  • Must live near the Trinity location in Mason City, Iowa
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health Informatics through a combination of education and experience
  • At least two (2) years of experience in an informatics or related role
  • Experience with clinical information systems and health information technology
  • Basic understanding of clinical treatment modalities, educational principles, clinical information systems, accreditation and regulatory standards, and program development
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of change management principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management principles
  • Certification from a national informatics certifying body preferred
  • Fellowship, academic courses, or other formal training in Health Informatics preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Health Informatics or related discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to perform occasional lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Ability to use a computer and perform continuous sitting, with occasional walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing
  • Ability to adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities, and stressful situations
  • Ability to manage concurrent tasks and projects
  • Ability to read small print and communicate verbally in person and through phone/computer/device/equipment
  • Ability to perform frequent manual dexterity activities and occasional grasping/handling
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment and use available PPE
