Accenture is seeking a healthcare consulting leader in Illinois to drive payer utilization management engagements, guiding teams and delivering high-impact client outcomes.

You will lead planning, manage delivery, and optimize solutions with data-driven insights, automation, and regulatory awareness. Expect significant client interaction, mentorship, and travel as needed to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in Payer Utilization Management, including in an operational leadership role.
• Minimum of 3 years of Health Industry management consulting experience.
• Bonus points for ability to plan, organize and deliver results across multiple projects.
• Understanding of utilization management operating models, technology enablers, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience applying data-driven insights and automation to transform payer clinical operations.

• Ensure solutions are implemented within time and budget and meet client satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and successful delivery of client engagements, managing the work of Accenture and client working teams and participating directly in project delivery execution
• Ensure the successful implementation of solutions within promised time and budget, and to the client’s satisfaction
• Build and maintain trust-based client relationships based on successful delivery and a client-centered approach
• Serve as an example-driven leader to the project team, providing opportunities for people to develop and enhance key skills, giving honest and timely feedback, and establishing a followership of people who want to work with you
• Develop project plans and solutions that are tailored to client needs
• Support development of Accenture assets and tools used to drive and accelerate value to our clients, with particular emphasis on assets focused on utilization management
• Travel – as needed, varies by client needs and could be up to 80%

Qualifications: Here’s what you need

• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in Payer Utilization Management, including in an operational leadership role that was accountable for delivering on productivity, quality and compliance metrics
• Minimum of 3 years of Health Industry management consulting experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• Bonus Points if you have: Proven ability to plan, organize and deliver impactful results across multiple projects or initiatives
• Proven understanding of utilization management operating models, technology enablers, and regulatory requirements
• Experience applying data-driven insights, advanced automation, and creative sourcing solutions to transform payer clinical operations and outcomes
• Skilled at unlocking the value of AI to improve payer clinical operations performance

Compensation

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
