Job summary

Alliance Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Health Equity Specialist to advance equitable access and reduce disparities. This full-time, hybrid role collaborates across teams to embed health equity into programs, analytics, and reporting.

The role requires community outreach, data analysis, and regulatory knowledge; some evenings/weekends and travel across Mecklenburg and surroundings. Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field; CHES/MCHES preferred; strong communication and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, education, social sciences, or related field and two years of related experience.
• Certification in Public Health, CHES or MCHES preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Engage communities through outreach, health education sessions, and partnerships across groups.
• Support health equity strategies and program development and accreditation readiness.
• Monitor and report on disparities, performance improvement, and data-driven interventions.
• Assist with state regulatory deliverables and documentation for programs.
• Represent Alliance Health in health equity meetings and workgroups.
• Coordinate training and technical assistance on health equity and language access.
• Travel to meet members, providers, and community partners as needed.
