What We Need

The Health Engagement Consultant leads health promotion and wellness strategy for a premier partner association and its member organizations. This role operates across two core tiers: partnering with association leadership to guide overarching program strategy, and consulting directly with individual member employers to drive employee participation through targeted programming and onsite presence.

Your Day to Day

Association-Level Strategic Leadership

  • Drive program strategy by partnering with association leadership, executive committees, and boards to set annual goals, benchmarks, budgets and roadmaps for signature wellness initiatives.

  • Analyze aggregate data (participation and population health) to demonstrate program value, report outcomes, and support annual account renewals.

  • Collaborate internally with account executives, medical management, and analytics teams to deliver an integrated well-being narrative.

Member Organization Consultation

  • Consult directly with HR leaders at member organizations to tailor the overarching wellness program to fit their specific company culture, size, and demographics.

  • Guide HR and benefits teams in building action plans and deploying multi-channel communications to maximize employee awareness and sustained participation.

  • Help member organizations recruit, train, and support internal wellness champions and committees to foster a culture of well-being.

Onsite Promotion & Regional Travel

  • Maintain a visible, dynamic presence by traveling across Massachusetts (25–35%) to corporate offices and branch locations to actively support wellness initiatives.

  • Coordinate onsite engagement events, including health fairs, biometric screenings, educational workshops, and wellness challenges.

  • Identify and resolve site-level logistical hurdles to ensure equitable program access for dispersed and frontline employees.

This position is eligible for the Flex persona.

We're Looking For

  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics directly, diplomatically, and consultatively.

  • Communication: Exceptional presentation and written skills, with the credibility to influence both executive boards and large, diverse employee groups.

  • Data Literacy: Comfort reviewing and interpreting population health metrics and participation data to drive future strategy.

  • Industry Knowledge: Broad understanding of healthcare, employer-sponsored benefits, and evidence-based workplace wellness strategies.

  • Project Management: Ability to manage multi-tiered projects independently while staying aligned with broader department goals.

  • Tools: High proficiency in modern productivity software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM/databases).

What You Bring

  • Education: BS/BA in Public Health, Health Promotion, Healthcare Administration, Business, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Experience: 5+ years in wellness consulting, health promotion, account management, or employee benefits—ideally supporting multi-employer or association groups.

  • Travel: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regionally 25–35% for onsite client visits.
