Jefferson Health is seeking a Health Educator to develop and deliver community-based health education programs aimed at reducing health disparities across diverse populations. The role includes in-person and virtual presentations, screenings, and workshops at schools, faith-based organizations, and partner sites.
You will travel between multiple program locations in a day, often during evenings and weekends, collaborating with community leaders and linking individuals to resources and services.
The Health Educator is responsible for developing and delivering community-based health education programs and outreach initiatives focused on reducing health disparities among diverse populations. This role includes facilitating both in-person and virtual presentations, workshops, health screenings, and educational sessions in community settings such as schools, faith-based organizations, senior centers, and other partner sites. The Health Educator collaborates with community leaders, stakeholders, and clients to promote health awareness and connect individuals to appropriate community resources and services. The position requires strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to travel between multiple program locations in a single day, with occasional evening and weekend hours required.
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
