Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency seeks a grant-funded Health Education Outreach Specialist to promote health programs and conduct outreach across the District.

The role involves collaborating with schools and communities, data collection, program planning, and dissemination of health news via media channels. Responsibilities include designing and evaluating programs, maintaining visibility of agency activities, and delivering presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health education or related field.
• One or more years of experience in health education and/or health programming.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Canva and Microsoft Publisher.
• Skill in media relations and the use of social media.
• Skill in assembling and analyzing data, preparing reports and formulating policy recommendations.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and to present in public forums.

Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency

This grant funded position works under the supervision of the Health Education and Promotion Supervisor, and is responsible for promoting and maintaining the Community Health Agency’s health programs and completing outreach activities throughout the District. Participates in community collaborative efforts to improve community health outcomes by assisting individuals, schools and communities to adopt healthy behaviors.Collects and analyzes data to identify community needs. Plans, implements, monitors and evaluates programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies and environments. Promotes the visibility and awareness of the Agency and health news through radio, newspaper, and social media, including maintaining the Agency’s Facebook presence.

Employment Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in health education or related field

Experience & Required Skills:

Special Requirement: Must have a valid Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance and reliable transportation, as work-related travel may be required.

Salary and Fringe Benefits:

This is a full-time position in Coldwater, 37.5 hours per week with a startingwage of $26.77 per hour.
