Job summary

Waymo invites talented students to join our Systems Engineering internship in San Francisco, blending software and hardware for next-gen autonomous vehicles. You will partner with industry leaders on impactful projects, apply knowledge, and expand your skill set in a collaborative, learning-driven environment.

You will work on releasing critical tests on schedule, debug complex distributed simulations, and build automation to monitor hundreds of tests.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or having completed a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related technical field.
• Strong debugging and coding skills are required.
• Experience with Python or C++ is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure release-critical tests execute on time and stay healthy.
• Debug and root cause issues in simulation tests with the simulation team and systems engineers to identify fixes.
• Build automation and infrastructure to alert the team of issues, assist with debugging, and track hundreds of critical simulation tests.
• Stand up systems and processes to find issues early and drive them to resolution.
