The Health Specialist provides administrative support in the Health area to staff in 0-5 Early Childhood

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Health Services, Social Services or related field required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience with database management
• Valid driver's license and daily access to reliable transportation
• Ability to communicate in English; Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedules hearing, vision, and oral health screenings for children throughout the year.
• Creates the schedule of annual health screenings and updates screening dates as needed.
• Enters health data in the data management system for clients served, including exams and immunizations.
• Completes monthly reports of services provided and scheduled for the sites.
• Reports to the Family Support Services Supervisor regarding missing health documentation.
• Collaborates with nurse and nutrition consultants to monitor children’s files.
