Required License/Registration/Certification: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Coding Specialist – Physician-based (CCS-P)
Physical Requirements: Sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods with repetitive motions such as typing.
Shift: Primarily Monday-Friday from 8AM to 5PM, with occasional nights and weekends as needed. This is a remote position.
This position involves assigning ICD and PCS codes to hospital inpatient visits, abstracting data from medical records, and applying coding for billing, reporting, research, and regulatory compliance. The role requires use of 3M software for coding and abstraction, maintaining accuracy standards, and respecting patient confidentiality.

Associates degree with 2 years of hospital inpatient coding experience.
