Job summary

Oregon Department of Consumer & Business Services (DCBS) is hiring a Health Compliance Officer for Oregon OSHA. You will conduct health evaluations and investigations and take enforcement actions to ensure employer compliance with the Oregon Safe Employment Act, while providing abatement assistance to employers and employees.

The role involves conducting technical training and supporting diverse groups, with opportunities for advancement and potential PSLF eligibility.

Qualifications

• Four years of industrial hygiene program experience in a major industry.
• A bachelor’s degree with courses in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Chemistry, a physical or biological science, Ergonomics, or Industrial Engineering AND one year of IH program experience in a major industry
• An associate degree in Industrial Hygiene AND two years of IH program experience in a major industry

Responsibilities

• As a Health Compliance Officer, you will conduct health evaluations and investigations, take enforcement action in a broad range of workplaces to ensure employer compliance with the Oregon Safe Employment Act, conduct technical training, and provide abatement assistance for employers and employees.
