Job summary

Fairmont Pittsburgh is seeking a Health Club and Spa Attendant to welcome guests and members, maintain a safe, clean environment, and support daily operations at the health club.

You will greet guests, handle reception duties, process payments, and uphold high service standards in a luxury hotel setting. Weekend and shift flexibility are required to support peak times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is an asset.
• First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
• Excel, WordPerfect 5.1 are an asset.
• Physical Education or Hospitality background is preferred.
• Available to work weekends and shift work.
• Constant standing and walking throughout shifts; may exert up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Offer professional, engaging and friendly service.
• Be the first and last representation of the health club for guests and members.
• Greet guests and hotel members; handle general reception duties.
• Operate POS system to bill services to guests and members.
• Maintain a neat, orderly work area to high standards.
• Ensure Health Club is safe and hazard-free.
• Maintain inventory and appearance of the retail center.
• Keep health club areas clean, including locker rooms and lounge.
• Handle cash and credit transactions with proper checks and balances.
• Communicate with guests and members using correct terminology and Fairmont protocols.
• Take on projects as assigned by manager.

Job Description

Fairmont Pittsburgh’s Health Club and Spa are looking for an enthusiastic and eager member to make their mark in the Health Club. As a Health Club and Spa Attendant you will be responsible for greeting all guests and members while ensuring a safe and clean environment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
• Be the first and last representation of the health club for guests and members.
• General reception duties including, meeting and greeting guests and hotel members
• Operating point of sales system to ensure proper billing of services to guests and members for services rendered.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the facility.
• Ensure that the Health Club is safe and hazard free.
• Maintain inventory and appearance of retail center.
• Maintain general upkeep and cleanliness of entire health club facility, including but not limited to locker rooms and retail, reception, and lounge areas.
• Handling cash and/or credit transactions while ensuring checks and balances through all venues.
• Communicating with guests and members using correct verbiage and standard Fairmont telephone protocols.
• Responsible for projects as assigned by manager

Qualifications

Your Experience and Skills:

• Previous experience is an asset
• Currently certified in First Aid and CPR is an asset
• Excel, WordPerfect 5.1 are an asset.
• Physical Education or Hospitality background is preferred
• Available to work weekends and shift work.
• Constant standing and walking throughout shifts. May occasionally exert up to 10 pounds lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
