Job summary

Liberty Healthcare Management in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Health Center Server to join our team. This part-time, evening position involves delivering and retrieving room service trays, assisting with meal service, and ensuring dietary requirements are met.

You will work closely with the Dietary Manager and Nursing staff to accommodate allergies and preferences while maintaining a high standard of service and HIPAA privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of experience in a food service operation, preferably healthcare.
• Completion of a state-approved food safety course is strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards the elderly.
• Able to work well as part of a diverse team and as an individual player.

Responsibilities

• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner.
• Deliver and retrieve room service trays from residents’ rooms at assigned times.
• Help residents understand their menu selections while ensuring compliance with nutritional requirements.
• Set up dining tables with utensils, chinaware, and glassware; refill condiments.
• Assist with meal service and maintain accurate meal documentation respecting diet orders and allergies.
• Clean and reset tables, stock beverage machines, and assist with tea/coffee as needed.
• Coordinate with Dietary Manager and Nursing for menu alternatives for allergies and sensitivities.
• Maintain teamwork and communicate effectively with staff and residents.
• May assist with setup of internal/external events and training.

HEALTH CENTER SERVER

Part Time, Evenings

JOB SUMMARY:

• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient's menu selection in a timely and accurate manner. Deliver and retrieve room service trays from residents’ rooms at assigned times. Deliver room service trays to resident rooms and dining rooms. Help residents understand their menu selections while ensuring their selections comply with their nutritional requirements or restrictions.


• Ensure proper set up of dining tables with utensils, chinaware, and glassware. Refill sugar, salt, pepper, and butter dishes for all tables.


• Assists with meal service to residents and guests. Maintain accurate meal documentation ensuring the correct diet order, allergies, and preferences are adhered to.


• Clean and reset all tables after each meal service, and sweep floors as necessary. Stock beverage machines; make coffee, juice, etc.


• Work with Dietary Manager and Nursing team members to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies and sensitivities.


• Maintain a strong teamwork approach that contributes to high morale and productivity. Effectively communicate with all employees.


• May assist with the setup of internal and external parties, including seasonal, holiday, and special events.


• Performs hands-on, verbal, and written communication delivering quality meal service.


• Participate in all training offered by the employer.


• The Health Center Server follows and abides by the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) privacy guidelines as administered by Liberty Senior Living.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of one year of experience working within a food service operation required, preferably in a healthcare environment.


• Completion of a state-approved food safety course is strongly preferred.


• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately


• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards the elderly


• Able to work well as part of a team with a variety of staff and residents with differing values, attitudes, capabilities, and dispositions is essential.


• Able to work effectively as an individual player of the dining services team as well as part of the facility-wide team.
