Rate of Pay: $17 - 20 per hour, depending on experience

Sedgebrook is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Prep Cook to join our team! This position is responsible for full-scope, hands-on production cooking in the Community Culinary Services Department. You will be responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Prep Cook:
  • Prep meals for lunch, dinner, and special events, as well as handling cold food prep and baking details
  • Follow proper handling, preparation, and holding guidelines
  • Take temperatures and maintain sufficient quantities of food, avoiding over-production and food waste
  • Properly present all food items and provide maximum appeal and freshness
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience in food preparation
  • Ability to initiate and implement necessary plans to assure proper food service
  • Certificate in food service sanitation (Serv-Safe) or ability to attain after employment
