Job Summary:

We are seeking a Health Center Administrator - Nursing Operations at our Duke Cardiology locations in Morrisville, NC, Cary, NC, and Durham, NC to provide administrative and clinical leadership, oversee policies and procedures, and manage programs across complex, multi-disciplinary adult ambulatory clinics.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess staffing needs to ensure effective budget management
  • Handle personnel actions including hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, promotions, and scheduling
  • Provide counseling and conduct formal disciplinary actions for clinical staff
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and allocate resources such as manpower, space, and equipment
  • Manage meetings including staff, management, and provider meetings
  • Oversee clinic expenditures, process invoices, and reconcile procurement card purchases
  • Develop fiscal projections and prepare budgets
  • Monitor and reconcile expenditures to stay within budget
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, Infection Control, OSHA, DUHS, NCBON, AAMA, and AMT standards
  • Coordinate and document drills and safety procedures
  • Identify and implement best practices for performance improvement
  • Oversee multi-specialty nursing services
  • This position requires flexibility to work across multiple clinic locations.

Job Eligibility Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related administrative or practice management experience, with knowledge of operations, personnel, and budgeting
  • BSN required; Master's in Business, Healthcare Administration, or MSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure in North Carolina required
  • At least 3 years of nursing leadership experience required
  • Cardiology experience preferred
  • Experience managing multiple sites preferred
  • BLS certification required

Job Hours:

Day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
