Broughton Hospital is currently accepting applications for Health Care Technician II to work in the Admission Office 2nd (3:00pm-11:30pm) shift. This position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled health care activities for mentally ill patients with physical as well as behavioral problems. As a clinical worker this employee carries out the admitting process and works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Health Care Technician II is responsible for data entry and documentation in the patient medical record as well as utilizing both in-person and telephone interactions with patients, families, law enforcement, and external agencies while carrying out assigned duties. This individual must be able to communicate accurate information in a professional manner with all internal and external customers and work independently as a member of a team.
The normal work schedule is Monday-Friday, with alternating weekends, flexibility to work any shift is required. These positions are mandatory and must report to work in all-weather events.
