HEALTH CARE TECHNICIAN I - Part Time - Grand Junction Regional Center (Western Slope)

Position Overview

The Health Care Technician I will ensure a home-like environment for individuals with developmental disabilities or dual diagnoses, supporting personal outcomes and a therapeutic milieu for up to 12 persons.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide care and instruction in daily living activities such as bathing, eating, and personal hygiene, aligned with Individual Plans.
  2. Follow and implement individualized supports and services across various programs and settings.
  3. Assist in the implementation of learning, support, or experience programs.
  4. Address safety concerns, make purchases, decorate living areas, and perform housekeeping duties to maintain the physical environment.
  5. Transport individuals to appointments, scheduled events, and emergencies.
  6. Work at different locations and shifts as needed to meet agency needs.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid LPT license or QMAP training in good standing.
Conditions of Employment
  • Background checks, license verification, drug screening, and compliance with health requirements.
  • Availability to work any shift, including nights and weekends, at a 24/7 facility.
  • Valid, unrestricted U.S. Driver's License and ability to drive state vehicles.
  • TB test, Influenza, and COVID vaccination or approved exemptions.
Additional Information

This position offers a temporary pay differential of 3.17% from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, and eligibility for comprehensive benefits including retirement plans, health insurance, paid holidays, and more.
