Job summary

Marsh, Mercer’s Health team in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Health & Benefits Consulting Analyst for a hybrid role with in-office three days per week. You will collaborate with senior consultants on design, financing, pricing, and administration of clients’ health programs, and help deliver data-driven insights using Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of professional experience, preferably in health & benefits.
• Ability to work at a fast pace, both independently and in a team environment.
• Capacity to manage competing priorities with strong time management skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of the MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the consulting team in gathering, organizing, entering, and analyzing data using Excel spreadsheets for client projects.
• Gather utilization or rate data from vendors via RFP and summarize responses in Excel or PowerPoint.
• Develop cost projections and evaluate vendor renewal workups for client meetings.
• Demonstrate project management and consulting skills; help with budgets, billing reports, and client communications.
• Collect design data from clients/vendors for plan consolidation impact analyses and data quality checks.
• Learn products, services and tools; participate in training and collaborate with colleagues; embrace AI/tech-enabled tools.
