Your Role : As a Benefits Consultant- Remote, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, welfare, and wellness programs, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, HSA, FSA, and wellness initiatives.

You will assist and/or lead the development and design of benefit plans, programs, and procedures, and oversee their implementation. Your role includes making recommendations for cost-effective and competitive employee benefits, responding to complex inquiries from employees and dependents regarding eligibility, claims, appeals, and plan provisions, and ensuring compliance with ERISA regulations.

You will develop and implement new regulatory policies and procedures, provide guidance and training to team members, and collaborate with legal counsel, payroll, vendors, and auditors to resolve issues. Additionally, you will perform accurate plan filings, amendments, and notifications according to laws and regulations, and develop communications and activities related to benefits and wellness programs.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in health and welfare benefits
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to present and consult across all management levels
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
  • Broad knowledge of health and welfare benefit principles and current industry trends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional designation (e.g., CEBS, CBP or equivalent)
  • Active participation in company culture activities
  • Willingness to travel as needed
