Job summary

HPC-Industrial, a Clean Harbors company, is seeking a Health and Safety Supervisor in Billings, MT to lead safety programs at a client facility. The role focuses on inspections, compliance with policies, and promoting a strong safety culture across sites in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities include overseeing training, emergency response, and coordination with client safety teams. The candidate will guide teams, ensure proper permits and paperwork, and drive continuous safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of First Aid, Confined Space, Fall Protection, and DISA standards is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and TWIC required.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by complying with safe work practices, policies and procedures.
• Conduct health and safety inspections, audits and interventions; oversee paperwork and permits.
• Manage employee safety training programs and coordination.
• Oversee job hazard analyses and inspection of safety equipment; manage testing and supply.
• Provide leadership on Clean Harbors processes and expectations; coach and supervise teams.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; manage injury and incident follow-up and reporting.
• Establish relationships with client safety departments and direct personnel in operational procedures.
• Document safety inspections and recommend corrective actions.

The Health and Safety Supervisor inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state and federal safety policies and regulations; Oversees ongoing work sites to ensure personnel comply with company and client safety requirement along with promoting a positive safety culture; Emergency response, and site remediation while working in all types of weather conditions. Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Conduct health and safety inspections, audits and interventions, investigate, oversee, and observe safety conditions and manage safety permits and required paperwork;
• Manage employee safety training programs and coordination;
• JLA's (job loss analysis), JHA's (job hazard analysis) and manage safety equipment inspection, testing and supply;
• Provide leadership and guidance on Clean Harbors specific processes and expectations;
• Respond to emergencies and incidents and manage injury and accident follow-up and reporting;
• Coach, manage and supervise teams to further enhance their safety responsibility and performance;
• Establish relationships with client safety department;
• Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational procedures to complete assignments;
• Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify compliance issues;
• Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures/practices; Recommends corrective actions;
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressively responsible and related experience in an industrial setting;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of the following is preferred: First Aid, Confined Space and Fall Protection, and DISA standards;
• Valid Driver's License;
• Must have a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC);
• Strong knowledge of regulations.
