Duties

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and workers' compensation laws.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
• Preventive health protection
• Operating instructions & safety inspections on operating equipment
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for incidents or near misses to prevent future occurrences.
• Design and deliver training programs on health and safety practices, including CPR, emergency response, and occupational health.
• Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance status for management review.
• Collaborate with various departments to promote awareness of health and safety initiatives.
• Fabricate safety solutions or modifications as necessary to improve workplace conditions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to occupational health and safety.
• Conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses
• Monitoring compliance with legal regulations in the area of occupational safety
• Investigating workplace accidents and developing preventive measures
• Preparing reports and documentation for internal and external parties
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in health and safety management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, and EHS standards.
• Experience in training development for various audiences on health and safety topics.
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Certification in CPR is preferred; additional certifications in occupational health or related areas are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis of incidents.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a strong focus on safety objectives.
