Job summary

Jobtailor in Boston is seeking a Northeastern University co-op student to project-manage strategic client-service initiatives and collaborate with subject-matter experts across pharmacy, wellbeing, compliance, and more.

You will respond to client questions, learn health product offerings, evaluate vendor contracts, and design surveys/RFP responses while partnering on financial analyses and plan design modeling. Hybrid 2–3 days in office; graduation May 2027–May 2028.

Qualifications

  • Must be part of the Northeastern University co-op program.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in health science, public health, health management, finance, business administration, consulting, or actuarial science.
  • GPA 3.25 or higher.
  • Strong client service skills and excellent written and oral communication.
  • Ability to work independently and with multiple teams in a collaborative environment.
  • 2–3 days in-office hybrid schedule.
  • Undergrad applicants: 2nd or 3rd co-op or comparable internship.
  • Graduation May 2027–May 2028.
  • Legal US work authorization without visa sponsorship.

  • Evaluate and compare vendor products, services, and contracts.
  • Design, distribute, and evaluate survey and RFP responses.
  • Partner with consultants on financial analyses, including pricing and employee contribution strategies.
  • Model plan design alternatives and calculate claims reserves.
  • Build relationships with internal colleagues, clients, and vendor partners.

Requirements
  • Must be part of the Northeastern University co-op program
  • Progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in health science, public health, health management, finance, business administration, consulting, or actuarial science
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.25
  • Work experience demonstrating strong client service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions that exceed client standards
  • Ability to take initiative, stay organized, and work independently
  • Ability to work with multiple teams in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Hybrid role with 2–3 days per week in-office encouraged
  • Undergraduate applicants must be 2nd or 3rd co-op candidates, or have comparable internship experience
  • Graduation date between May 2027 and May 2028
  • Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship
