Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, PA, or CNS) to join the Headache Section. This outpatient role provides direct care to patients with chronic migraine and other headache disorders, including complex cases and procedures such as nerve blocks and Botox.

The APP will work in a multidisciplinary team across neurology, hospital, and affiliates, participating in education, quality improvement, and shared

Qualifications

• Clinical assessment of headache disorders.
• Effective patient communication and counseling.
• Collaborative team-based care in neurology.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, diagnose, manage medications, and provide disease counseling.
• Outpatient care of headache patients including preventive and abortive treatment options.
• Perform headache-related procedures within scope (e.g., Botox, nerve blocks).
• Collaborate with neurologists, nurses, and staff to optimize patient outcomes.
• Contribute to education and mentorship of APP students and residents.
