Job summary

UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Headache Medicine team. You will evaluate and manage a broad spectrum of headache disorders, including migraine, cluster headaches and concussion care, in a collaborative setting.

Providers will collaborate with pain management, physical therapy and behavioral health teams, use advanced imaging, and may perform Botox injections or nerve blocks.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or doctorate from an accredited NP/PA program.
• Current licensure as an NP or PA in Illinois (or ability to obtain on hire).
• Clinical experience in neurology, pain management, or internal medicine preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and procedural skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage a wide range of headache disorders.
• Administer advanced treatments such as Botox injections for chronic migraine and nerve blocks where appropriate.
• Collaborate with pain management, PT, and behavioral health teams for comprehensive care.
• Utilize imaging and diagnostic tools to support clinical decisions.
• Partner with physicians and referring providers to ensure timely care.
• Educate patients and support self-management of chronic headache conditions.
• Teach healthcare students at all levels of education.
