Description
Job Summary: This position provides leadership and oversight to the women's soccer program at Lancaster Bible College and supports the Athletics program.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains seasonal coaches.
- Oversees daily workflow of soccer administration.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Education and Experience:
- Master's degree preferred in a health or sport-related field.
- Previous collegiate participation and/or coaching experience.
- Demonstrated faith in Jesus Christ.
- Ability to meet the academic, spiritual, physical, and social needs of students.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Effective communication of Lancaster Bible College's mission to prospects.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of collegiate soccer rules and NCAA regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Coaching Responsibilities:
- Prepare the team for intercollegiate season following NCAA, NCCAA, and NEAC guidelines.
- Recruit student-athletes locally, regionally, and nationally who align with the mission.
- Maintain a roster with 24 mission-fit players, including 8 new recruits.
- Develop a culture reflecting athletic philosophy and community values.
- Model Christian values in all interactions.
- Conduct devotional times and achieve athletic department goals each season.
- Support the 3-tiered student-athlete development approach:
- Growth as a student and athlete.
- Character development from a Biblical worldview.
- Realization of their impact on others.
- Organize and lead practices, both traditional and non-traditional.
- Select, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches.
- Verify roster eligibility and coordinate with compliance.
- Support student-athletes' academic progress.
- Collaborate with the Sports Information Director on media and outreach.
- Organize camps to promote soccer among young girls.
- Represent the program at conferences and meetings.
Athletic Responsibilities:
- Assist in a secondary area aligned with strengths.
- Attend weekly departmental meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
