An established educational institution is seeking a dedicated Head Women's Soccer Coach to lead the Yellowjackets program. Student activity assignments shall be given equivalence on each campus accordingly. Head Women's Soccer Coach; 9 Credits, at $1650.00 a credit.
This position is a part-time, nine-credit activity assignment. It provides direction and development of the Yellowjackets Women's Soccer program. The focus is on education and academic achievements: aiding student athletes in skill development, fostering discipline and sportsmanship, and boosting self-esteem. RCTC is a Division III member of the NJCAA and part of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference. Performance appraisals will be conducted per policy provisions.
Recruit quality student athletes to maintain a fully enrolled and competitive NJCAA program. Ensure adherence to NJCAA, MCAC, and RCTC policies, rules, and regulations. Develop, submit, and monitor the program's budget for the season. Conduct and evaluate college tryouts, visit high schools, and meet with incoming athletes. Organize, schedule, coach, and supervise practices, games, matches, and tournaments. Arrange travel and supervise team travel. Promote good citizenship and sportsmanship. Stay updated on current trends by attending clinics and coaches meetings. Demonstrate techniques, conduct drills, and evaluate effectiveness. Maintain player statistics and historic records. Collaborate with the Equipment Manager to inventory and maintain equipment, uniforms, and supplies. Work with the Sports Facility Director to keep facilities clean and maintained. Promote the program through media and public relations efforts with the Marketing department. Support student retention and monitor academic progress. Participate in community fundraising and public relations activities. The Head Coach should be professional, reliable, punctual, and capable of hiring and evaluating assistant coaches. Ability to relate to diverse groups and work collaboratively is essential. Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Understand and support the college’s mission. Supervise work-study students.
