Qualifications

• Must be age 21 or older.
• ASEP Basic Virginia High School League course required before coaching duties with MCPS (fee applies).
• NFHS Concussion in Sports course required before coaching duties with MCPS.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administrators.
• Ability to motivate students.
• Ability to be dependable and punctual.
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a high-quality athletic program stressing fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship while maintaining high safety standards.
• Monitor athletes' academic performance to ensure eligibility requirements are met.
• Collaborate with Athletic Director and Principal to ensure program success and compliance.
