Job summary

Williamstown Independent Schools is seeking a Varsity Baseball Coach (Head Coach) for the Williamstown School Athletics program. The role involves planning and supervising practices, teaching fundamentals, and ensuring eligibility and safety of student athletes.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 64 college semester hours, one year of coaching experience in a school setting, and completion of KHSAA training requirements. Reports to the Principal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university.
• One year of coaching experience in a school athletic program.
• Successful completion of all training requirements set forth by KHSAA.

Responsibilities

• Promote sports in the schools and community.
• Plan the assigned athletic program.
• Organize and supervise practices.
• Teach individual and team skills, strategy, and rules of the game.
• Model good sportsmanship and self-control.
• Check eligibility of participants, including insurance and parent consent.
• Provide students guidance and emotional support.
• Conduct learning experiences with groups of student athletes.
• Recommend equipment purchases for health, safety, and welfare of athletes.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
