A prominent college in Kansas is seeking a Head Track & Field Coach to coordinate and enhance its Track & Field programs. The ideal candidate will manage recruitment, supervise student-athletes, and ensure the well-being and conduct of team members while collaborating with the Athletic Director to improve the program.
SUMMARY
The Head Track & Field Coach is responsible for coordinating the men's and women's Track & Field programs at the college.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Directly supervises one full-time employee and may supervise student workers, following HR policies and laws. Responsibilities include hiring, training, performance appraisal, and addressing employee issues.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. Related experience, training, and computer skills desired. Experience with athletic injury prevention and care is a plus.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Language Skills: Ability to interpret journals, reports, and legal documents; respond to inquiries; write speeches/articles; present information effectively.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, analyze data, draw conclusions, and interpret technical instructions.
