Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools seeks a head track coach at Riverside High School for the Spring season (February–May). The role includes directing training and performance of the varsity team, supervising assistants, and coordinating with the athletic director to ensure athlete safety and program success.

The ideal candidate has coaching experience at the high school or college level, CPR/First Aid certification, and preferably a Virginia teaching license or classified employee status within LCPS.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• Completion of CPR and First Aid training.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate all assistant coaches of the respective sport.
• Work to ensure proper insurance coverage for all athletes.
• Foster values of athletics and sportsmanship among participants and spectators.
• Direct training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team and supervise assistants.
• Be present at varsity contests and supervise athletes at JV/freshman contests as possible.
• Advise on schedules, officials, equipment, and facility needs.
• Maintain records, statistics, and photographs for the athletic teams.
