Job summary

Strong Start Early Care & Education in Wilton, CT is seeking an experienced Toddler Head Teacher to join our in-person program serving the Danbury, Ridgefield, Wilton, and Norwalk area. This full-time role focuses on creating a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for young children.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or daycare setting.
• Knowledge of toddler development and early childhood best practices.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Connecticut Early Learning Standards.
• Create and maintain a consistent, engaging daily classroom schedule.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
• Lead and support Assistant Teachers within the toddler classroom.
• Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and creative development.
• Observe, assess, and document children's growth and progress.
• Use positive guidance strategies to support behavior and social skills.
• Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and conferences.
• Encourage positive peer interactions and a strong classroom community.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with center policies, state licensing regulations, and CT/NAEYC standards.

Strong Start Early Care & Education is seeking an experienced and passionate Toddler Head Teacher to join our growing program in Wilton. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity for an early childhood professional serving the Danbury, Ridgefield, Wilton, and Norwalk area who is committed to creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children.

Compensation

• Starting at $24/hour , based on experience, education, and role fit

What You'll Do
