Job description

Join to apply for the Head Teacher (Hamden, CT) role at Right At School.

Right At School has been providing safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for over a decade, serving more than 35,000 students across 17 states. Our programs—after school, before school, and break camps—offer children a place to learn, play, grow, and be kids.

Program Manager: $19.00-$23.00 per hour (based on education, experience, and interview process)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Before School: 6:45 AM - 8:35 AM; After School: 3:10 PM - 6:00 PM

Responsibilities include:

  1. Deliver quality enrichment programs using our Disguised Learning curriculum.
  2. Develop and coach a passionate team committed to safety and engagement.
  3. Collaborate with school staff to enhance learning experiences.
  4. Participate in community events to promote the Right At School footprint.
  5. Maintain safety standards and manage program paperwork.

Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising others
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with children, including those with special needs
  • Minimum hours of supervised experience or relevant credentials
  • Degree in early childhood education or child development, with experience
  • Communication skills, professionalism, familiarity with Google tools
  • Head Teacher Certification for school-age children
