Job summary

Premier Aquatics is currently hiring a year-round Head Coach for our Aliso Viejo Flying Fish swim team in Orange County. We are looking for a leader who is outgoing, responsible, self-driven, collaborative, and passionate about swimming.

Our pre-competitive team ages 5–14, with a focus on improving technical swimming in a fun team environment. This part-time, hourly position requires weekly evening availability and leadership for the coaching staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Available Monday-Thursday 3:00 pm–7:30 pm year-round.
• Outgoing, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification or ability to obtain.
• Previous swim team coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun and inviting learning environment for swimmers.
• Develop monthly training plans and daily swim sets.
• Maintain timely communication with families via email and in person.
• Train and mentor Assistant Swim Team Coaches.
• Coordinate time trials every three weeks and report results.
• Schedule and run team tryouts and monthly meets.
• Demonstrate techniques from the deck during practices.
• Lead the team within its sustainable budget.
