Job summary

Oregon Trail School District is seeking a seasonal swim coach at Sandy High School starting October 2026. This extra duty assignment requires certification and experience in swim instruction and game management.

The role demands the ability to communicate with students, parents, staff, and the public, and to motivate high school athletes to develop skills and character aligned with the district's athletic goals.

Qualifications

• NFHS coaching certification required.
• Previous coaching and/or experience in swim desired.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR (or ability to obtain certification).
• Extensive knowledge of swim instruction and game management required.
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, staff, and the general public.
• Ability to motivate and guide high school athletes in developing skills and characteristics that promote the goals of the school's sports program.
