The ideal candidate is an energetic leader and strong communicator who can motivate swimmers to "be the best they can be" while fostering a fun, inclusive, and successful team culture.

An interest in and availability for swim instruction beyond the summer season is a plus.

  • Attend and actively lead all practices and swim meets.

  • Post entries and results for all home meets to CCSDA.
Build & Lead a Great Team
  • Hire, schedule, train, supervise, and, when necessary, provide disciplinary direction for swim team employees in partnership with Club management.
  • Create a collaborative and high-performing coaching environment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Aquatics Director on swim operations, policies, equipment, and related matters.
  • Participate in opening swim team meetings and required team events.
Create Outstanding Meet & Team Experiences
  • Organize and coordinate swim meets with visiting teams, BCC staff, coaches, swimmers, and families.
  • Foster strong, consistent communication among coaches, swimmers, parents, and the Pool Committee.
  • Ensure the swim team is prepared, organized, and ready to perform at its best throughout the season.
  • Present swim awards and celebrate swimmer accomplishments.
Champion Safety & Excellence
  • Ensure all swim team equipment is properly maintained, organized, and accounted for.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pool environment, including the Coach's Office and storage areas.
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of the pool for practices and meets.
  • Immediately suspend swim team programs and/or diving operations when conditions are deemed unsafe or out of compliance with BCC policies and practices.
  • Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and program operations.
  • Follow all applicable CCSDA bylaws and BCC bylaws, rules, and customs.
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a confident, energetic leader who brings both technical swimming expertise and a genuine passion for developing athletes.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Relevant experience directly related to competitive swimming, coaching, or swim program management.
  • Current Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of competitive swimming, including stroke technique, starts, finishes, and rules governing legal competition.
  • Experience as a competitive swimmer.
  • Strong knowledge of swim operations and program management.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate swimmers and staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with swimmers, parents, staff, and Club leadership.
  • Ability to maintain high standards for safety, quality, organization, and compliance.
Why BCC?

This is more than a coaching position-it's an opportunity to shape a swim program, develop young athletes, build lasting team culture, and make a meaningful impact on the BCC community.
