Bethpage Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to join a collaborative team with an Athletic Trainer and Massage Therapist. The role involves providing pre-habilitation, performance enhancement, tailored strength and conditioning programming, therapeutic exercises, preventive maintenance, ergonomic recommendations, and referrals to medical care for fighter aircrew. The position is located in Harrison Township, MI, pending the award of a government contract, with an expected start between July 1, 2025, and October 1, 2025. Relocation to Harrison Township is required upon notice after contract award, contingent upon a thorough military background check. The start date may be delayed depending on contract award timing. Note that employment is contingent upon Bethpage Consulting LLC securing the contract.
The responsibilities include evaluating and providing pre-habilitation for fighter aircrew, developing individualized programs, guiding implementation, monitoring progress, advising commanders on injury prevention, communicating with medical personnel, attending required training, and providing performance metrics reports.
The minimum requirements are a bachelor's degree in kinesiology or equivalent, current NSCA CSCS certification, BLS CPR certification, at least four years of experience as a CSCS, and experience with professional or elite athletes/tactical athletes. Skills in team dynamics, legal and ethical adherence, quality and risk management, research evaluation, data analysis, and presentation are essential. Desired experience includes working with elite athletes, especially within special operations forces or mission-specific programs. Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and developing metrics are also required.
