UETHDA Head Start in Sullivan County, TN seeks a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Head Start classroom serving children ages 3–5. You will assist the lead teacher, promote social and emotional growth, and help with daily activities, transportation safety, and family communication.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a CDA within 2 years, and at least 1 year of preschool experience. This on-site position includes comprehensive benefits and school-year scheduling.

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; CDA credential within 2 years preferred.
• 1 year of experience working with preschool children.
• Basic use of Microsoft Office programs; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Support children's social and emotional development using positive guidance.
• Help organize and maintain a safe, healthy classroom.
• Observe, assess, and assist in planning activities for each child.
• Conduct home visits, attend parent meetings, and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with staff to support families and access resources.
• Prepare records, submit reports, and attend meetings/trainings.
• Assist children on and off the bus; other duties as assigned.
