Job summary

Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is hiring a Full Time Head Start Teacher to provide age-appropriate learning activities for infants and toddlers in our center-based program, following the curriculum to meet goals and objectives, while keeping daily reports and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The role requires an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education or CDA, or a HS diploma with one year of child care experience; driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates of Science in Early Childhood Education or CDA preferred.
• HS Diploma/GED with 1 year of child care experience acceptable.
• Driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment by following injury-prevention practices and sanitizing toys and equipment.
• Provide responsive care, including feeding infants and toddlers according to schedules.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities with weekly lesson plans.
• Foster curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity through hands-on activities and guidance.
• Build positive relationships with families and participate in required meetings and reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
