Job summary

United Community Action Partnership, Inc. is seeking a temporary Head Start Teacher to foster a nurturing classroom where young children grow and learn in Marshall, MN.

You will plan engaging activities, assess progress, involve families, and promote inclusion and wellness while guiding other staff to maintain a positive, collaborative learning environment. This full-time, 40 hours/week position runs 9 months per year, offering growth opportunities and the chance to make a lasting community

Qualifications

• AA or BA degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field as defined by the Office of Head Start.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging classroom activities.
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records to track progress.
• Partner with parents to encourage family involvement.
• Ensure an inclusive classroom for children with disabilities.
• Incorporate health and nutrition activities into the curriculum.
• Supervise and guide classroom staff to foster a positive learning environment.
• Assist with recruitment efforts to connect more families to the Head Start program.
