Action pact is a community action agency dedicated to improving lives and communities. We are hiring a Head Start Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing learning environment and to implement early childhood development lessons in an assigned classroom.

A minimum AA in Early Childhood Education or related field is required, with BA preferred. Hiring range is $18.08–$28.30 per hour (actual) with prorated $14.40–$22.54. Location is Ware County Head Start in Waycross, GA.

Mansioni

• Implement a curriculum designed to improve physical abilities, social/emotional development, and cognitive skills of children.
• Supervise children and recommend improvements to individual educational plans.
• Coordinate volunteers and aides and work with staff on parent involvement activities.
• Maintain health, attendance, and progress records for each child.
• Attend conferences with parents and staff to enhance child development.
• Ensure daily lesson plans reflect the curriculum and balance teacher-directed and child-initiated activities.
• Establish a positive classroom climate and manage routines and behavior effectively.
• Visit homes at least twice a year to plan development outside the classroom.
