Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership (OWCAP) is seeking a dedicated Teacher to develop and implement a Head Start curriculum in collaboration with families. The role emphasizes engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and meaningful daily interactions with children and parents.

You’ll plan and deliver curriculum, conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences, and build strong, supportive relationships with families while adhering to Head Start standards.

Qualifications

• Unselfish and approachable with a preference for detailed, skill-based work.
• Accommodating and analytical, while producing highly precise and accurate work.
• Patient, conscientious, relaxed, and cooperative team worker.
• Associate, bachelor's, or advanced degree in early childhood education; or a degree with at least 20 credits in ECE.
• One year of experience in teaching preschool children preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan, assist with implementation, and evaluate daily, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Implement approved curriculums.
• Individualize for each child through ongoing observations and data collection.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate daily, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Provide quality teacher-child interactions and build trust with all assigned children.
• Set up, prepare, and conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences.
• Build strong teacher-parent relationships and involve parents in curriculum planning and classroom volunteering.
• Use and respect families' culture, ethnicity, background, and composition.
• Apply developmentally appropriate behavior guidance and classroom management; collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
• Conduct family-style meals and snacks with compliance to Head Start standards.
