Qualifications

• Requires AA or BA in child development or early childhood education.
• Must enroll in BA in ECE if not yet obtained.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Must complete a work physical on hire and every five years.
• Current First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certification; willing to obtain within 6 weeks.
• Current Alaska Food Worker’s Card; willing to obtain within 2 weeks.
• Resident of the community given preference.
• Covered Position under Alaska Barrier Crimes Act; background check required.

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement learning experiences to advance children's school readiness.
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment.
• Support the social and emotional development of children.
• Collaborate with families and involve them in the program.
• Lead educational efforts with the Head Start Teacher Aide.
• Maintain confidential child files and IEP records.
• Attend meetings and trainings with staff and partners.
