Job summary

Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation is seeking a dedicated professional to support the Xaa-wan'-k'wvt Early Learning Program Head Start. The role focuses on planning, promoting, and documenting a safe and healthy environment for children aged 0–5, with emphasis on culture and community values.

The candidate must hold a BA/BS in child development or early childhood education (or equivalent coursework), have at least one year of relevant experience, and complete CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter

Qualifications

• BA/BS in child development or early childhood education, or equivalent coursework.
• One year of experience working with children up to age 5.
• CPR and First Aid within 60 days.
• Mandated Reporter certification within 60 days.
• Valid driver’s license to drive agency vehicle(s).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to Head Start children through planning, promotion, and documentation of a safe, healthy environment.
• Adhere to Head Start requirements and program performance standards.
• Demonstrate integrity, cultural sensitivity, teamwork and professional accountability.
• Ensure confidentiality and follow policies and instructions.
