You will help plan daily activities and engage with children to support development in a Head Start setting. The role involves direct interaction with families, home visits, and collaboration with staff to implement program standards and safety practices.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; CDA credential or associate’s degree preferred.
• Must obtain CDA credential, preschool designation, within 12 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning daily lessons and activities.
• Assess each child’s developmental level to tailor activities.
• Make home visits and collaborate with parents and volunteers.
• Keep parents informed through conferences, letters, newsletters, and calls.
• Assist parents in accessing community resources and services.
• Collect health information on each child as required.
• Assist with meal prep and cleanup, and eat with the children.
• Support classroom cleanliness and center duties.
• Attend parent meetings and trainings.
• Recruit children for Head Start programs and participate in meetings.
• Contribute to fundraising and volunteering efforts as needed.
• Comply with Head Start policies and DHS licensing standards.
