• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily activities that promote child development.

• Help supervise indoor and outdoor play and ensure children's safety.
• Assist with setting up learning materials and maintaining an orderly classroom.
• Attend team meetings and participate in required training and professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow Head Start and school policies.

Reports to: Head Start Lead Teacher / Head Start Director Location: Southern Avenue Charter Elementary School, Memphis, TN Salary Range: $13.00 – $16.00 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time, 10-month

Position Summary: Southern Avenue Charter Elementary School is hiring a caring and dependable Head Start Teacher Assistant to support our Lead Teachers in the implementation of a high-quality early learning experience. The Teacher Assistant will play a vital role in promoting the development and well-being of our youngest scholars by helping create a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment.
