Job summary

CPR/First Aid certification is required or willingness to obtain, with a commitment to Head Start

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or willingness to obtain is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience with preschool-aged children is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily activities that promote child development.
• Assist in managing classroom routines, transitions, and behavior expectations.
• Foster positive interactions to support social-emotional learning.
• Help supervise indoor and outdoor play and ensure children's safety.
• Assist with setting up learning materials and maintaining an orderly classroom.
• Attend team meetings and participate in required training and professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow Head Start and school policies.
