Job summary

Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries, Head Start program in Bedford County, seeks a Teacher Assistant to support preschool activities for 3-5 year olds. Responsibilities include assisting the lead teacher with planned activities, supervising children, and helping maintain a safe, engaging classroom.

Qualified candidates will have a CDA or be pursuing an Early Childhood Education degree with credits, plus a PA driver's license and required clearances.

Qualifications

• Must have CDA credential or be enrolled to complete within 2 years.
• Associates, Bachelors, or higher in Early Childhood Education or related degree with 15+ ECE credits.
• Must have valid PA driver’s license and FBI/Act 31/34/151 clearances.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in planning and providing activities for 3-5 year olds.
• Support and supervise children during activities and daily routines.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and educational classroom environment.
